saw an old maroon Fiat Uno on the roads today, and it reminded me of the time when my dad owned one of those. back when the letters started with S-C-something. the colour was picked by me and what other colour could it be eh? RED lah. hahahahahaha. i remember insisting on having it in red. i have no idea why.
the front seat was always my seat. and if there were guests sitting in it, i would be sulking in the back. haha. i was and still am a very selfish person!
he used to drive really fast, even faster when he was angry. i wouldn't dare utter a word when he was having one of those tempers, but inside my heart was leaping when he flew over the humps and accelerated when going downhill. at night, speeding down the scary one lane bendy shortcut with no street lamps at Lorong Ah Soo and through huge puddles was my fav. muhahaha. fast cars are thrilling eh?
i remember one morning on the way to school, a stupid lousy ass driver braked suddenly in front of us and woops, my dad's bumper was hanging off on one side.
he follows cars closely so slow drivers get the hint and speed up a bit. hahaha. what a freak eh. and when he stops at the lights, he goes so close that even i start panicking. "going to langa already!!" unlike people nowadays who think their ride is so damn big, they have to leave a full car length space between them. what a waste of road space. as if our roads not jammed enough ah!
dad sold the car when i was around 11, and the next one we were supposed to have was a Fiat Punto. i had even chosen the colour already (no. not red lah), but somehow, that was when my miserable public transport life started. havent been in a car on a daily basis since, and i think that's why i get carsick really easily nowadays. i'm used to the big slow buses liao. they dont jerk as much as little cars do. or maybe i just have to be in the front seat. HAHA!
neways, practice sessions for F1 teams are on this evening!!!!!! qualifying rounds tomorrow, then the actual race on Sunday. omg!! i'm soooo excited! too bad i cant be there. in the midst of the suffocating, crazy cheering screaming crowd. i dont care if i go deaf. i just wanna hear the engines ROAR.
