just saw the music video for That Thing You Do by The Wonders on mtv!

that song brings back memories man.

back in 2004, 4e2 decided to perform on teacher's day. and yep, we chose this song. then we were paired up into boy-girl couples and started rehearsing the dance steps the class committee(or the girly girls rather) came up with. i was paired with this guy who was barely taller than me! wasnt really happy about that though. bleh.

then the girls were supposed to wear our class tee with short pleated skirts, and the guys class tee with school pants and a cap. being an UNgirly girl, i didnt have any 'short pleated skirts' and so had to borrow one. heh. and i refused to wear the class tee at first cos they spelt my name wrongly when they sent it for print! guess i was quite the uncooperative one huh. XD

rehearsals were pretty much a waste of time cos firstly, the 'choreographers' themselves were not quite sure of the steps. and secondly, some guys were not very happy with the dance. why? cos the 'choreographers' were GIRLS, so naturally, it was more to the GIRLY side. hell, even some girls weren't exactly comfortable with it! myself included. haha.

improvised here and there, had fun in the process. the boys came up with a part where they strummed a broom like a guitar. quite funny really.

on the whole, i had a lot of fun la. tried something new: wearing a short skirt! i rarely went out back then, so my wardrobe was miserable. haha.
